will it work or not?I have blasted a couple of doors and washed them to stabalize rust till i prime. thought just hit me so i ask. tom

If you have treated the metal with a rust converter or other acid product you should use a cleaner/degreeaser before spraying your epoxy. I also hit the clean metal areas with the DA sander using 80 or 120 grit paper to remove any film/residue.
