When I add power to my horn on my 1950 1/2 it only makes a clicking sound. Taking it apart is looks like there may have been a diaphragm or a speak cone that has since disintegrated. what is wrong do I need to only to replace the diaphragm? Is there a step by step on how to repair the horn?

Is a restoration ever finished? | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,904 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,904 | The horns on my '48 didn't work when I first got it almost 25 years ago. There were flat, vibrating pieces(Bakelite?) which made the noise. I slipped a razor blade between them to unstick them and the horns worked just fine.
1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.
