Considering a T5 upgrade to a '47 1/2 ton
1. Does an S10 BLAZER use the same T5 transmission as an S10 pickup ?
2. I want to use a Colorado rear end to keep 6 bolt wheels. Can I bolt the Colorado rear directly to the stock springs or do I need to massage things ?

Thanks for all the comments and considerations !

As for the rear axle, I haven't seen anyone here who has been able to "bolt it up" without relocating the spring perches. I could be wrong.

If you are already familiar with getting the pinion angle right, then my apologies, but here's a short video explaining how to get it right...

Geting the pinion angle set correctly

If the S10 Blazer is 2WD and 1993 or earlier, then it should be fine. Check the gearing. It could be 0.86 or 0.72 or even possibly 0.76 for OD.
If the Blazer is 4WD, then I have no way of knowing how to use it. I'm not even sure if you can swap tail housings. I'd be interested to know what year and type of Blazer you found this in.
If the T5 is in a 1994 or later model, then it will have a FORD pattern case. I think you will want one with a Muncie pattern case (1993 and earlier S10, S15 and Sonoma trucks).

I don't know anything about the Colorado rear. I did buy some 6 lug Colorado steel wheels and the bolt pattern was correct but they had too much back spacing to fit my front 1965 C10 front control arms. They fit on my 1965 rear axle just fine but were "tucked in" under the truck a bit too much and looked funny. I imagine they'd work fine if spacers were used.
