For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 863 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 863 | Found my old Hoppy Lev-L Lite Headlight aimers in the attic behind boxes we had Christmas ornaments in. Got it down and everything still works except the suction cups are dry and won't stick to the headlights. Tried water and spit but they still won't stay put. This is the old headlight aimers with the pull back, hole in the center of the suction cup vacuum holding device. No one seems to have new suction cups available for this unit. Too old I guess...from the 70's. Is there anyway I can rejuvenate these suction cups, or do I just have a dinosaur at extinction? Hate to dispose of this unit as it is in excellent condition. Yes, it has good vacuum if you hold your finger over the center hole in the suction cup. Any suggestions on how to make these suction cup function again would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you for the input! Won't the red rubber grease or caliper grease cause the suction cups to slide on the head lights?

Can't lose much- - - -they're useless "as is". Jerry
