can I safely guess this is HO52 ?

I had raised it and counted rotations a couple
months back, but didn't write it down.
Might be a 4.10
I'm reading thru the TechTip on axle swap.
I will keep this, though, since whole thing original.
Until I retire, I'd like to see it hit 60mph.

Yes, that is an HO52. What year truck is it in? Also, can you get the code from it? The code should be on the third member.

If it came from a C20 with a V8 and an automatic, there is a good chance that it is a 4.10. The ring gear will be stamped 10-41 if it is.

(I put 1960 C20 on sig line.)
They tell me it's all original.
I've tried to clean crud of all around
axle/pumpkin, but I can't find any markings.
Will get a super bright light and look again for markings.
Thinking about pulling whole drivetrain :
engine, tran, axle - while I rebuild 235 and check
rest out. Don't need it as a daily driver, but
I'm 6'3" and only current vehicle I can fit it.
(oh, no, not selling any parts - will put back
together later)

Unless it has been changed it would be 4:57. As previously mentioned the 4:10 came with an automatic on 67-72 trucks.

4.57 sounds right.
Tops out at 45 mph, which is speed limit of
short drive to work. I had a '65 Ch with an
4.10 Eaton partial-locker which exploded one day.
My brother found a 2.83 ( ? or somewhere around there )
and it made a huge difference.
Actually used granny low off the light.
4.57 only good for parades and farm work.
