Need help finding the correct bolts for mounting the parking brake assembly to the transmission. Can someone advise the size and pitch of these?

Most bolts into Ci are coarse, next time you go to your hardware store, get some misc, bolts and mark their sizes, then use them for testing. I bet most parking brake bolts are 5/16-18 or 3/8-16.

Thanks, Ed. I was hoping someone would have the exact size. But if I can't find it out, I'll have to try your suggestion.

Make sure your bolts are not too long. The threaded hole in the boss on the transmission case is blind. If the the bolt is too long and you tighten the bolt and bottom it out, it will break the boss free of the case. At least that is the case on the 4 speed transmissions I have for my '37 and '42 where the bosses for the tranny and pedal bracket are broken on some of my extra trannys. I don't know the length but just measure the hole depth and thickness of the brake mount along with thickness of the lock washer and be sure that bolt isn't too long.

I have tried several bolts. Looks like 3/8 is the diameter, but the only pitch I can find is 16, and 16 does not fit.

My NAPA store has a fair bolt selection. Might try that.
