The 46 was called up and moved into the field, loaded, and joined the outbounds to the staging area. She looked a little out of place, but it was already an oddball parade of loaded equipment. Soon it was her turn to make the 8 mile trip. She made it just fine, and oh what a smile on the face of the Man receiving the hay! Join us for a view of the action and a little riding along in the cab: 46 Hay Hauling There are also a couple of pictures added to my gallery, and I think my gallery is working again...it had to be updated. | | | | Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 171 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 171 | Nice to see the Old Chev. earning her keep. I do not recall, which engine do you have in the truck? Al | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 107 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 107 | It is the original splash oiled 235. It has been reconditioned about 10 years ago. | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 91 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 91 | Nice video! I most enjoy my old pickup when using it as intended. I hauled 3 cords of wood this fall about 22 miles loaded. http://s1148.photobucket.com/user/1Plowboy/library/Firewood?sort=3&start=&page=1 Nice to see the old trucks being used as intended. Also you are very good at putting video's together. Like the split screen in and out of the truck! Excellent!

They ride so much smoother!
Nice double clutching. Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you like the video, I try to learn something every time I make one. However, I do seem to forget 95% of it by the time I get a chance to make another. Maybe I need to make time for it more often... The hardest part of the split screen stuff is having another camera and someone to remember to either operate it or turn it on. I found syncing them to be interesting as well. The software I have has a function for it, but it uses audio to sync and inside and outside can be vastly different causing it to fail. I had to move them in relation to each other frame by frame under zoom to get it lined up right on this one. | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 1,608 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 1,608 | I think you did great. Owning a similar vehicle, it felt like it was taking a ride with you in your truck. Thanks for the drive. I love the sound of those straight cut gears. It looks like the only thing stopping the Chevy carrying more bales was bed deck length. | | |
