HAS ANY ONE HERE BOUGHT AN AFTERMARKET CHROME BUMPER FOR 1939-40 TRUCK. I CANT FIND A DECENT PIC ONLINE TO SEE WHAT I AM ORDERING BEFORE I ORDER. I TRIED TO GET ONE OF MY ORIGINALS RECHROMED BUT THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THAT THE CORES THAT I HAVE SENT ARENOT GOOD ENOUGH. I WANT THE GROOVED BUMPER NOT THE SMOOTH ONES THAT WERE ON THE 1946 TRUCKS.

Well guys after looking around and talking to different guys about replacement bumpers I decided to try having the original bumper on the front of my truck rechromed over the winter while I wasn't driving it. I had tried to get some of my other parts truck bumpers rechromed but was told they were not good enough to be chromed and polished on both sides. I took the original off that I had painted 20 years ago and sent that in to Keystone. I have to say it was worth the wait to get a good one done. The bumper came back and it looks awesome. It was worth the $421.00 to get it done.

I had Keystone automotive supply pick it up. They own the old Northstar plating co or Northern plating co now, I cant remember which one it was.
