The Stovebolt Site Forums The Side Lot Annual Stovebolt Reunion (Kansas City) Agenda?

Ok!
Here is a first draft of the agenda that Vicki and I will try to do.

Thursday:
Get to the hotel about 2pm Thursday afternoon.
Check in, drop trailer and meet with Mongo at his yard by 5pm.
After a quick tour, head to the Aldersons for BBQ and a tour of their private museum of old trucks, tractors, dozers and cars. Well worth it. Best private collection I have ever seen.
After that, back to the hotel, find our Down Under Friends and Share a few cold ones.

Friday Morning:
Meet the key players in the breakfast area and plan the day of who is doing what.
Vicki and I will be headed to the park, hopefully by 9am. Stop off at the Red X store and stock up on vital things we will need.
Get to the park, Find out our location and start unloading and marking the Stovebolt territory.
Awnings, chairs,and tables.
Live band that evening and the BBQ vendor will be set up and serving. Same vendor as last year.
Visit, enjoy the Cruise In and head back to the Hotel to meet up again for a few.

Saturday
Big day. Head to the park by 9am, stop off at the Red-X store again to refresh what we may need.
At the park by 10 AM.
Set up HQ for business and start the day.
Seminars between 11 and 1.
Freedom to see the show from 1 till 4.
Stovebolt meeting and group picture starting at 4pm.
Group BBQ/dinner sometime after 5pm. The band is supposed to be playing again during this time.
Back to hotel and another adult get together in the breakfast area, if they let us.

Sunday Finally.
Sleep in, some will pull out early to head home.
Head to the park about 10am.
Stop by Red-X to stock up again.
Lay around HQ till about 1pm and then slowly start loading up.
Awards at 2pm, Vicki and I may stay for that, cause we may get the club participation trophy.
Then head home.

Remember, this schedule is what Vicki and I may do.
It is fluid and can change at any time.
Just looked at the Show schedule and thing may have changed.

Wow, looks like a great agenda. Yes, fluid is the theme for the weekend ... and freedom. Folks can head off in different directions if they like.

I just remembered as I was reading your post: DON'T FORGET OUR EVER FAMOUS NAME TAGS!!!!! You can get a fresh one every day that are so great. And you can wear several at a time.

you can have a meeting with just you and Don, but for it to be a club it has to be within an organization.. so now you decide..

Now, back on topic.
I PM'd Mongo and looking at the schedule, there will not be a band Friday night. The club will be setting up the park Friday afternoon then between 6 and 10 head up to a local bar and grill for the Friday night cruise in.

We will still be able to hit the park Friday afternoon to unload, park trailers and set up Stovebolt HQ.

The band will be Saturday evening from 4 to 7.

Don will they close entry to the park Friday after 6pm or can we still get in to off load and park the tow rigs? We are hoping to be there before 6 but my luck doesn't normally run that way.

Just got a response back from Mongo and he said they will be there all night, but lock the gate about 8pm.
The hosting club treats us real good and will work with us on getting you in.
We'll work something out to get you in ,if you get delayed.

Don, is there anything planned for the ladies? Do they normally hang out together or just hang with us guys?

There are plenty of things for our better halves to do.
Vicki and I don't stray very far from each other.
Once the motor heads get to talking, I always make sure the non motor heads get to know each other and chat among themselves.
We don't just talk about trucks and cars, we get to know each other, what we do, where we come from and just visit.
My wife Vicki, is a shy person at first, but she really enjoys the the Stovebolt group.
You or your wife can jump in and help with the Stovebolt booth.
There is so much going on, you can't help from making new friends.
Expect you and your lady to be wore out after the event.
