After it sat overnight I noticed that a few of the lifters that were holding valves open had their plungers collapsed down. Is this normal bleed down from valve spring tension? All hydraulic lifter engines do it. If there's enough bearing wear and/or other clearance issues that result in low oil pressure, sometimes it takes a little while for the lifters to pump up and stop rattling after sitting for several hours.
