Just purchased a 1964 C60 Cab and Chassis truck, 19,500 GVW. Can anyone help me with parts numbers for the brake system? Master Cylinder, Wheel Cylinder, Rubber Lines, Hydroboost, shoes, etc.

Very appreciated for any information on this. I can do C10's all day long. This is my first big truck and I'm lost.

Thanks

Zach

Napa has everything you need, I did mine 8yrs ago. Someparts came from carquest also. You may have a hard time finding drums if you need them.

I don't know if you've already bought you're brake parts or not but I just found what appears to be 4 new wheel cylinders and assorted springs (I am assuming they're brake return springs) in the cab of a 1961 C-70 That I got some Parts off of. they are new in what remains of the boxes and have a little surface rust, but otherwise are in very good condition. I don't know if they are compatible with your truck or not, but if they are and you're interested I can get you some pictures. if not, I'll list them in the for sale forum.

Zach has not posted in two months. Parts offers should be done by private message not in open forum. At 4 posts he may not be un-moderated yet, but you can try. Click on his name then PM, if it comes back "mailbox full" it means he is not approved yet. Read the manual on the home page for forum rules. Good to have you around. I like the early 60's trucks.

Ive owned the big trucks for decades. Hyd brakes are great if driven regularly. However let them set a few months and the rubber componets dry out. the brake fluid absorbs moisture and then evaporates pitting wheel cyls and master cyls ect. Ive got several c 60,s that don't have any brakes. It would cost more than the trucks are worth to fix them. A new brake booster is over $300! Ive got a C65 that has full air brakes. and they always work.
