I am brand new to this forum so please go easy on me.

I am working on a 65' 4x4 that has a bent frame from a frontal collision. I am not sure if there is any hope for getting it straightened.

So, I would like to know what are my options for getting another frame?

1. Does it have to be a 65' 4x4 frame?
2. What other year frames can I use (64-66) or (60-66) or (60-72)??
3. How hard would it be to convert it to a 2 wheel drive?

I am sure there are thing I am not aware of so that is why I am here, I was told this is the best place to get help.

I think the frames from 61-66 were all the same in relation to long beds, short beds, fleet sides, step sides. The 4x4 frame may have had an extra hole or two but should not be any different structurally. Take a picture of yours and find an old beater in a salvage yard to compare it against. There is a vintage truck salvage yard down in Pasadena, Tx you might want to locate. I do not recall the name at this time.

You might want to obtain a factory assembly manual for your truck. It will have all the detailed dimensions for the frame. Maybe a local frame shop and fix your original.

I had pretty much figured I would need the factory assembly manual for putting the front clip back together but never thought about the fact that it might have the detailed deminsions you were talking about. Thanks for the heads-up.

Find a Bee-line truck frame shop. They can straighten the Frame with ease.

What is a Bee-line truck frame shop???

Is that the name of the company or of the machine they use???

If it is the company name I am not sure we have them down here but I am certainly going to do a search and see.
