Hey everyone, I just dragged home (literally) a '62 C40. I'm having trouble getting one of the rear brakes to un-seize. Dragging it across a few hundred yards of grass and gravel road didn't knock it free. I took the wheels off and have been beating on the drum and spraying WD-40 in every hole. Any other suggestions?

Bigger hammer, they are never easy. I find a 3 pounder works fairly well. Beat, spray and pull hard. Good luck. grin

It seems that the breaks are a little different than the lighter duty stuff. Does anyone have a good picture of the shoe set up? I tried running back what I think is the adjuster but I think it may be rusted solid.

I got it apart. One of the adjusters broke loose and then I found my biggest hammer finally.
