I recently acquired a 1939 Panel Truck (in pieces!). Does anyone have photos of the rear mounting brackets, etc. to mount the body to the frame or any idea where I might find/purchase a body assembly manual? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

GTO,

Welcome to Stovebolt.com.

I doubt you will get a response from someone with an assembly manual, but, that is a good question.

You have a somewhat rare truck - check out the "Gallery" (it is listed in the menu at the top of this page). If you find a member with a truck like yours, contact them in a Private Message or an email message. However, you will not be able to contact anyone until you have made 4 more approved posts (your first post has been approved).

Submit a few posts telling us about your truck, or about what you need/want to do to your truck, or other questions/comments.

FYI: You posted two similar posts. One was deleted.

Thanks for the info. I'm having a difficult time finding much information on the '39 at all, but your idea is a good place to start.

GTO,

Send me a personal email--I just completed a 1938 3/4 ton panel, all original.

GTO, I have a 1939 Suburban and can tell you the rear mounting block is 2 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" long x 1 3/4" high. I made mine out of oak, copied the old original block. The bolt goes thru the hole in the rearmost chassis crossbar.
e-mail me for photos. [email protected]
