Surprisingly, the carb still had a tag on it. The fella with me read the numbers 70024675 (could've been a 1 instead of a 7). It also had K2 on the tag. I've tried looking this up on google, but no luck. Can anybody cipher the numbers? I didn't think to get the eng cast number.

Probably a "service replacement" if on a 1940's truck. When Chevrolet downgraded from the Carter to the Rochester in 1950, the new parts books showed a service replacement for vehicles back to 1932.

Good carburetion is fuelish hot airThe most expensive carburetor is the wrong one you attempt to modify. Maybe there is one too many 0's. Next time I am up there I'll check the numbers to be sure.
