For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 7 | I just purchased a 1954 series 15 model 43 chev work truck (less than 11,000 original miles). It was used as a pumper truck for a small town near Montreal, QC. The truck was made at the Oshwa Ontario GM plant and therefore is called a "maple leaf", or so I have been told. Anyway I need to know where I can find the correct hood emblems for the side of the hood. The holes left by the original emblems indicate that the one on the drivers side may be different than the one on the passengers side. Is there a good place to find body parts for these trucks? Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 1,571 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 1,571 | If it's a Maple Leaf, the emblems will say "Maple Leaf," not Chevrolet or GMC. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 7 | That's great, but where can I find the emblems? Any ideas? | | |
