if you weld them all together you'll need hydraulics to open the thing - and however ya do it, there has to be a chunk of fender behind the wheel well that's made part of the cab, or the thing won't open, so ya get a nice goofy lookin seam across what should obviously be a solid panel - ugly setup in my eye, and I've seen 3 in person
in addition, it actually makes it more awkward to get at the engine cuz ya gotta work over a wheel w/ the hunka stuff bangin yer head alla time! only advantage is you get to think about how cool you think you are, while everybody else is rollin their eyes
panels have a much better weight distribution than pickups to start w/, and a TF panel w/ a good 327 will have plenty of traction w/o a fiberglas front clip, and if ya got a 327 w/ good ratios behind it and good tires, ya already got a 'sleeper'
that said,
US Body has glas fronts , w/ hinge kits [clik 55-59 on left, then scroll down1/2 way] - note what they say about the "PreSplit front end" models, don't let the girlie pics distract ya from the price: $1600, you do all the flash finishing
