To summarize:Our 1 ton trucks use three Spicer 1350 series joints with external snap rings (where snap rings are used).
Part number for the U-joint kit complete with external snap rings is
5-178X I think it is very smart to replace the little u-bolts and nuts with new, Spicer # 3-94-18X (although I haven't yet replaced mine... but now I have the part number to do so)Part number for the U-
bolt only kit (no U-joint) is
3-94-18X Furthermore, the U-bolt nuts should be torqued to
20-24 Lb. Ft.Also, I think the elusive 4.10 center section may be found in more than just that specific 3/4 ton with automatic. With how easy they have been to find recently from the 4x4 crowd, I suspect they are in other trucks. Remember International also used the Eaton axle in their 3/4 and 1 ton trucks for a while.
I'm not sure which models of IH or any other trucks may have 4.10 gears but the possibility exist and is likely that 4.10's will be found in more than just what we listed.
Soon I should also have a part number for the pinion seal, mine started to leak on the way home.
