My carryall had the petrified weatherstripping on the tailgate and lift gate. I have since seen some photos of restored 'Burbs with the weatherstrip adhered to the body side.
Does anybody know which is correct? And could it possibly be on both the body and the liftgate/tailgate to ensure that the gaps are sealed properly?
Much appreciated-
Lisa

On my 51 suburban it has what looks like a lip which runs across the bottom from one end to the other. left to right or right to left. Any ways having to have this area repaired and need something to referance.
