Good Day All,

It has been awhile since I have been on, new job, twin babies... all the good stuff.

Anywho, I just wanted to give an update on my 57 Burban. I have just the steering column and two body bolts to cut and old girl will be ready to lift of the factory frame. I have the SWB 80's frame ready to roll under it. The family friend that is storing it for me, had a fire and I lost my 1964 Janspeed Mini Cooper (factory race car)... So he has been buying me parts for the burban to replace the mini (it will be years until the insurance company pays out... 500K in cars lost).

I have uploaded some new pictures and I am linking the whole album. I have a new intake for my 327 H.O. and a vintage draw-through turbo setup for it. The plan is to have it running for the Back to the 50's car show mid June.

Looks like you have made some good progress so far. You have rust behind the drivers side rear wheel that is almost identical to my 58 Burb. I'm very interested in how you address that. Keep us posted with lots of pictures once you start tackling the body work back there.

Congrats on the new twins! Big bragging rights! :-)

That is heart breaking about your Mini.

Thanks

Thanks,

I'll be swapping frames this weekend, so there will be more pictures Sunday. My plan on the rear quarter.... nothing for awhile... the mini was a hard hit... I've always wanted a factory race mini...

Today my dad and i got the "old" frame removed from the body. When we had the frames without bodies, we also swapped the 327 into the new frame. I am going to swap transmissions so the new frame is sittig half under the body. I've added the new photos....

you've come a long way. Looks like you may get that first ride before to long.
...and I see another project in the corner. What year is that coupe....and a 67/68 sitting outside. I'm jealous!

The guy that is storing my Suburban is an old family friend and gear head. That is a 1935 Chevy Business coupe with suicide doors. The truck out front is rough, but has a fancy new drivetrain.

I plan on having the Burban running/driving for the Back to the 50's car show. Back to the 50's

It will be in rough shape, but thats how I like her!

Today my father and I went to the local upullourparts yard and got the tilt steering column and associated linkage from a 80's pickup. While we were there we also grabbed a power steering pump and brackets too. Next weekend we should be able to get the body bolted to the frame. More to come....
