I got a 51-52 Truck Wiring Harness from Chevy Duty about 10 years ago and it's been sitting in a box. I need one for a 1953, but only 51-52 are listed. Does anyone know the difference and what I would be missing? Thanks!

They show a 53-54 plastic one - assuming GM went to plastic sometime in 1953?

I know one is available, but I already have this one for another project but have since changed my priorities, now I am hoping I can just use the 51-52 Harness on the 53. Not sure what the difference would be. The 53 has a small fuse box and a horn relay on the firewall. Not sure if the small fuse box is on the 51/52 or if that has anything to do with it.

The 51 and 52 trucks did not have a horn relay. Not a deal breaker for what you are doing.

Thanks. If I know it's the horn relay thats not included, I can make up my own harness for that.
