I'm in the Fort Smith, AR area and need my 1953 3100 3 speed rebuilt but I cannot find a shop here that will do it. I don't mind driving a bit to find someone. One place tore into it but told me they could not find the parts and gave it back. Ugh. I know it needs synchronizers but not sure what else. I've never rebuild one but I may try it myself if I can't find another option. By the way, what transmission is this if I want to shop for parts?
Transmission

Thanks!

Look at topic 3-speed Manual in this Driveline Forum. crenwelge posted a breakdown picture. I'm guessing, but I think this is a Muncie SM318 maybe. Your trans looks exactly like what I have out of my 51.

I have a couple of those complete transmissions, and no real use for them. Drop me a PM.

I finally found a shop that has parts and will rebuild. http://www.blumenthalmfg.com/ out of Oklahoma City if anyone else in my area needs a rebuilder. I'll be crating it up tonight.

Thanks to Hotrod Lincoln for his offer. People on this forum have been great!
