It has 22.5 rims that look like 6 hole Budd wheels. I was wondering if anyone knows for certain if they are the same as the ones on the GM trucks? I think they do and it might be worth getting for someone here who needs some! Left rear outside had an 8-22.5 tire on it, LF had no tire, but wheel was there, could not get around to the right side but I think all the tires and wheels were on that side. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . I just bought a set of them off a 60's Dodge | | | | | Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 Big Bolt Forum Moderator | | Big Bolt Forum Moderator Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 | Grigg, what is a fair price? I can check with them on a price and pick them up if someone wanted them. I bought a full set with almost new tires on them for 900$ for my 58. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,963 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,963 | 6 hole stud piloted interchanged between Ford, Dodge and GM in the 50's and 60's. I'm not sure about later ones. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . Grigg, I don't need them, I have 10 wheels at the moment (4 came with my truck, and I bought a set of 6 with tires) and the guy I bought my 58 from found another one for me, it is about a 3 hour drive to go get it though so, it is still over there! I was just at the wrecking yard today and saw them and figured if someone needed them, it might be worth snagging them. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 | The ones I bought I have no use for I just felt sorry for them sitting in the junkyard year after year. Removing the old stiff heavy tires was quite a chore, ended up cutting them off, not sure even a good tire guy would have had much luck with just the bars/irons. In any case they're good wheels and worth saving if the price is right for you and your situation. | | | | | Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,744 24601 | | 24601 Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,744 | Concur with Grigg. Grigg, if you still have extra wheels with the 6-lug pattern, we have a new guy who will be needing them (we brought his truck home yesterday with scary RH-5's on it. Scary even for RH-5's ...) I'll send him to you offline.
Thanks, John

I lay them flat with the lock ring up and knock them down as much as I can with a duck bill hammer. I then pour on as much Diesel as I can. In a couple of days, it will soak all the way down and make the tire pretty simple to remove. It is a lot easier than cutting them off. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | .
