I have a 1955 (2nd series) 2 ton, I can't seem to get the hubs off of. I want to do a total rebuild of the drum brakes. Any tips or tricks to get the this project going?

front or rear? What seems to be the issue getting the hubs off?

Hubs or brake drums? They are separate components.

Hy Charlemagne65, welcome, if you clean the outside mating surface of the drum/hub (the part the wheels sit against)you will probably find two or three countersunk slotted screws that will need to be removed before the brake drum can be separated from the hub. These screws can be tight and stubborn, if you have a hand striking impact tool that is the best thing I have found to remove them, some people advocate heating them before attempting to remove them, good luck, hope that helps.

on my 58, when I took off the rears, one came right off, the other would not so, I took the axle out and took the hub and drum off as a unit. Once off, I set it on the floor of the shop, picked up one side an inch or so and dropped it on the floor a couple of times. That knocked the hub loose from the drum so I could separate them. (years of rust and dirt tend to make them stick!)
