probably been asked many times, but does anyone have a good diagram of a 1946 truck with an alternator? cant believe these companies will sell you a new harness with just a slip of paper with numbers on it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no simple answer:

- do you have a 1, 2, 3, or 4 wire alternator?
- do you have an internal or external voltage regulator?
- do you have an ammeter or a voltmeter (and, do you want to use it)?

Your question is asked about once a month, but the answers sometimes become quite long and confusing.

sorry, single wire, internally regulated, using stock ammeter in truck.
