I am installing a new clutch and pressure plate on a '58 235 that is going in my '53 3100. The shop manual for the '53 says to line up the "X" on the flywheel with "X" on pressure plate. I didn't see and "X" on the flywheel although there was a painted mark on the pressure plate. Now what is this about and how important is it? Thanks.

That was for reinstalling the original pressure plate when installing a new disc. You can disregard.
