New to the Stovebolt forum. Just purchased a 1938 Chevy pickup. Had a '49 Chevy pickup for several years and I've notices already that the older models have much less printed material available. I suspect I will be asking a lot of questions. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Stovebolt, Steve. Yes, the 38 is a different animal. I have a 37 and the do share some of the same parts. The biggest difference in the 38 and the 49 is going to be the cab space. I had a 50 and then this 37. Wasn't no big deal back then as I was about 40 lbs lighter!!
There are quite a few guys here with 37/38/39 so be on the lookout for them. Check out the gallery pics and you can get some ideas of what folks are doing.
See you around the garage forums, which by the way, it the place to ask questions. Good luck and post us up a picture when you can.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
