Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 2,168 | Just thinking ahead here... But has anybody fabricated their own inside glove box out of sheet metal? Those reproductions look pretty...made in China. | | | | Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 23 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 23 | For my '59 I lined the repro glovebox with oak veneer. Wasn't hard to do and not in the least authentic but it looks kinda cool. I thought about using metal but the added noise of flashlight and other random junk rattling around in a metal box maybe not so good?

He must have done duct work for a living. He had all of the sweet crimps and even put in the X reinforcement creases in it! It will be going back in upon truck reassembly! Carl

I am absolutely going to call them, give them the new cardboard version and have a few made if they will do it. Great Idea! Not opposed in general to fiberglass, but IMHO and just MY opinion, not that fiberglass isn't a great answer, Fiberglass doesn't belong on a 1950 Chevy Truck. Neither does CARDBOARD! LOL!
