I recently got a '53 GMC 100 running and now need to start addressing the rest of the truck. It needs glass (most of the glass is there, but is more translucent than transparent), wiring, some patch work (cab corners and floor, primarily), and lighting.
Would it be best to do the cab sheet metal work first, then the paint, and finally the glass? I would think this would facilitate prep for painting, but I have never gotten this far into a project and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks! I ordered the .023 drive rollers and liner for my mig last night (already have tips). I'll practice a bit and then order up the necessary patch panels as $$ allows. Anything else you guys think is necessary or even indispensible for the patch panel work?

Buzz little spots with plenty of space between to keep heat down to prevent warping. Planish the welds after completing each pass across the panel while they are still hot. This counters the shrinkage of the panels as they cool. If you ever feel like you're making good time on stitching the panels together, you are likely going 3 times too fast.
