I found this web site while looking for some parts for my 1936 Chevy low cab. This looks like the place to get info on just about any old truck you might have the pleasure to own. Short note about mine, Came across it by pure accident. One day at NAPA, I was getting some parts for a friends 46 Chevy truck I was working on. It had one of those high torque starter on it and I needed some wire connectors. The man next to me ask if I liked old trucks and I said yes but I had never owned One. That was when he told me about the 36 his sister was trying to sell. The rest is history, it's in my collection now waiting to be restored this summer.

Welcome to the Stovebolt and sharing a nice story. The 36 sounds like a real jewel. I see some 36 owners on here regularly and I'm sure you'll see them...or they will find you.
Will this be a restore to original, resto-mod or other plan? There is lots of info here and great guys and gals to help out. I'm sure there are many other bolters in your area so watch for them.
A few pictures would be nice. Just post us a link when you can.
Any questions you have just post them in the most appropriate garage forum and let us help you along the way. Good luck.

...you mentioned "collection". You have others?

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Thanks for the welcome, right now I plan to just get it together and dive it. The lady I purchased it from had lost her husband and she was selling it, (I paid up for it, I did not low-ball her)
He husband had started to restore it and had the complete drive train overhauled and running and in the truck, he even had the cab all done, new wood but I do need to hang the doors. The front fenders are excellent, needing blasted and paint, the bed is the same shape except for the tail gate and rear fenders. I found I guy in Ohio that is reproducing steel rear fenders for the 36, maybe next year I'll get a set, not cheep but they are steel. I do need a few things that's why I'm here.
So I guess I'll get started with the search.

Great. I'm sure some other bolters may want to know about the steel fenders. Its information sharing like this that makes the bolt a great place to call home. I think the low cab also has some features that are the same as a 37.
Thanks for the update. You may want to consider starting a thread in the DIY Forum which is a sub forum of the welcome center, where we can follow you along on you journey. I like watching these historic old vehicles come back to life.
