Bolters,

I am restoring a 1955 Series 2 6400. Being that it is a 2-ton truck I am finding it difficult to locate certain parts. Right now I am in need of finding replacement bushings and pins for the front and rear leaf springs. Does anyone have suggestions on where to look?

Also, do you know the size and length of the center bolt that runs through the leaves?

Try calling EATON Detroit Spring, Inc.. They do not list your parts, but they most likely could match/make/find them.

If you need specs for the springs/parts, ask here or look in the GM Specifications Manual available at the GM Heritage Center.

I found the pins for my 46 2-ton on amazon, yours may be the same, the copper bushings were not long enough but mine were in good shape so i didnt use them anyways.

For the 48 I went to my local truck spring spring shop. Had a couple broken leaves replaced and the bushings and pins were off the shelf.
