Well,

I had some leftover racing stuff and need a some sort of alternator got to looking in the old milk crates of race car parts and Walla! Lookie what found. LOL. Use 1 1/2x1/4 inch falt stock to make a lower bracket and found a hiem joint adjuster. I'm running just a basic wiring harness for now.

I ran one of them on a round track race car, with a home-brewed 4" diameter aluminum pulley to keep from overspeeding it at the end of the straightaway when we were turning 7K+ RPM. It worked great, and kept the battery voltage up enough to get better performance from the HEI ignition system. Most of our competition didn't run a charging system and their electrical system voltage was down around 11.5 volts or so.

YEP! That what we did also. Sold the racecar and trailer and still have a ton of stuff in boxes. I gave away buckets of stuff like HEI's tachs MSD systems, CAMs, heads... LOL the only time I ever made money racing. LOL

"The way to make a small fortune racing is to start out with a BIG fortune!" Karl Kiekhafer learned that when he bankrupted Mercury outboard motors trying to dominate AAA racing with a fleet of Chrysler 300's. (Before Bill France invented NASCAR)!

What is the outside diameter of that alternator? The case appears to be square at the back half.
To ask another way, what size hole will that alternator fit in?

It Just happens to be same diameter as the stock 6v genarator. I made a lower mount out of flat stock, nothing special. The Denso had to come out a little further than the stock mount would allow.
