| | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,771 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,771 | I ran one of them on a round track race car, with a home-brewed 4" diameter aluminum pulley to keep from overspeeding it at the end of the straightaway when we were turning 7K+ RPM. It worked great, and kept the battery voltage up enough to get better performance from the HEI ignition system. Most of our competition didn't run a charging system and their electrical system voltage was down around 11.5 volts or so.

I gave away buckets of stuff like HEI's tachs MSD systems, CAMs, heads... LOL the only time I ever made money racing. LOL

To ask another way, what size hole will that alternator fit in?
