Ball bearing are becoming hard to find, anyone know where I can find replacement roller bearing kit for a 1 ton Chevy truck(according to vin. # my truck is supposed to be heavy duty 3/4 ton) I bought as a 1 ton not positive, either way I would like to upgrade to roller bearings if possible, any and all help would be greatly appreciated....

What is your "vin. #" for a 1954 heavy duty 3/4 ton?

Here are replacement front wheel bearings:
outer bearing set - 3/4 and 1 ton
inner bearing set - 3/4 and 1 ton

Maybe someone with 53-59 roller bearings will post information.

I saw those called to inquire about them, price is better then local parts store for sure, reason for inquiry is I'm rebuilding front brakes, took my drums to get turned, got called back that they couldn't turned them, they needed to remove inner bearings and seal in order to do it right causing damage to them, I asked them to remove the drum from hub I believe this should work out but I'm preparing worse case scenario.... Thank you for help

I remember having drums turned and they wanted the races left pressed into the hub. They turned them with the drum on the hub.

I think the machine shop that the OP was using was alluding to
popping out the seal to remove the bearing cage from the inner
wheel bearing. I worked parts when I was a sprout and helped out
in the machine shop when things were slow and we never had to
remove the inner bearing races that were in the hub, to turn a drum.
