| | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 438 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 438 | I've seen ads on TV for a product that polishes lots of things (Flitz or something) and they show the quick rejuvenation of a plastic or polycarbonate headlamp. I have also seen a Mother's Polish product used on clear plastic during an ESPN2 hot rod show.
As I have an early '90's Subaru wagon with headlamps that have been dulled by 130K miles of winters and summers, is it worth trying to polish them up or should I do the replacement instead? I should note that the lamps don't show any yellowing and I think the bulbs are still at full strength.

I use Meguiars Plastic Polish for all the lights on the Honda and the rears on the El Camino - it's amazing.
Each treatment doesn't last too long - say a month or so - but it does look good when fresh.
There may be some type of buffing polish for that type of plastic - to smooth it out again - but I don't know what it would be.
