Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 2,168 | After months and months of hammering, dollying, cutting, welding, grinding, sanding, scraping, fixing, prepping and cleaning I shot my first coat of epoxy primer with my new hvlp gun in my homemade spray booth! I'm happy to report that I should only need minimal filler and I hope to get this 3 window cab all finished and mounted with my custom dually box on the 1 ton chassis before July! It's amazing what a spirit booster a little paint is. Lower and use an extended box with wider fenders. I have a dump bed that is a short wheelbase 4400 that I want to make more garageable (keeping the dump and PTO). I reached your current stage of the project 2 months ago. At that time I was as equally exited as you, but was way too optimistic about the time it takes to do all of the work to get it ready for final paint. Oh well, it will all get done eventually.
