The guy they sent out has now broken TWO brand new windshields while ripping up the brand new gaskets both times... Before he shows up with the third windshield and gasket, I thought I'd ask some of you experts out there for some tips... I really would love to get this windshield in but I am afraid this guy is going to destroy my truck (he has scratched paint and ripped one of my sun visors all ready!). Has anyone got a simple procedure or "special tricks" for getting this windshield installed properly? Any help would sure be appreciated!

Start the windshield in at the top with the rubber gasket on it. Make SURE it is set in as far as it will go at the top.
Using the small rope cord trick (rope/cord stuck into the rubber channel). and using a lot of soapy water in a spray bottle. slowly work the window gasket to the inside of the cab. The nylon window knives are a big help too. They help get the edge of the rubber pulled through when the cord alone starts to slip.

This guy has a rope (it might be too big in diameter) that he is using in the channel but he is not using soap... He is using WD40! On top of that, both times he has started at the bottom... I don't think the rubber is getting seated down properly on the pinchweld area... As he works the glass in the best he can, when he finally gets up to the top, that's when it breaks!
Anyone else got any pointers?

I haven`t broken one three times so far withthese years of trucks. I was told this trick by the guy at the glass shop where I bought the glass. The sharp angles at the top of the window on these trucks makes it extremely difficult to work in place. SO,,, start at the top   - - Oh yes,,, do not use any petroleum lubricants on the windsheld rubber as it can cause it to break down. the soapy water will not harm the rubber
