foremen,

Here is the 1965 Chevrolet Truck Specifications Manual (it is a large download).

Most likely the information you seek is in there.

Only body related differences is the emblem on the front fender.

Suspension is quite different.

Pretty sure the c10 comes with better gearing than the c20. Every '65 c20 I've seen has had the 4:57 gears. The front suspension has rubber bushings on the c10, the c20 has steel bushings. The rear cab mounts are different. The c10 has donut style mounts, the c20 has donut style front cab mounts and shear style rear. Aside from the heavy duty frame and running gear of the c20, the c10 is a pretty close match. They share the same rear trailing arms, bed, cab, fenders, etc. It's just the under carriages that differ.

The C 10 has steel bushings. The 3/4 trailing arms have a steel reinforcement on them.

to answer your question; the only major difference is that the C20 doesn't come in a short bed. everything else is interchangeable except(as mentioned previously) rear cab mounts. C20 rear cab mounts are not obtainable and the C10 ones will work with the addition of a C10 frame mount and they are obtainable after market.

I have never looked under a c10 from this era, I assumed it being a lighter duty truck it would have rubber bushings. That's cool to know they have steel bushings too. That explains why the trailing arms I got as replacements years ago, don't have the reinforcement. There's a place in Fresno that sells heavy duty one piece construction trailing arms.
