In addition to my normal job I part own our family restaurant. We have a lamp that uses those large infrared light bulbs to keep the french fries warm. Every one has seen them looks like out door flood bulb. Those things get pretty hot, got the scares to prove it. Wonder if that would work to powder coat large pieces. Any one know or have a suggestion on how to powder coat a large object? Thnaks!

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 50 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 50 | When you powder a large piece, after you powder you start to heat from the bottom up. You have to get the piece 400deg for about 5-10 minutes. It takes 5-10 minutes to get the piece up to temp. but once the first spot is up to temp. the spot right above is already starting to heat up and cure so it starts to go faster. It still takes longer to powder than to paint but it all depends on what you want.
