I've looked everywhere around the greater Washington DC area for a transmission cover (both parts) for my 1966 C10. When I bought the truck year ago it had a 4 speed in it, but also a place on the steering column for a three speed shifter. My guess is that someone made the change and forgot to put a transmission cover on after the switch. Now I've got a real nice four speed to look at along with the ground. My question is: is there another year cover (front and rear) that will fit? or is there something else I can use for a cover? YOu can imagine my shock when I picked up the rubber floor mat and found a gapping hole in the floor where a metal cover should have been.
