I have a question for you. In your post "Wood Kit Installation", you posted a photo of your truck. A beautiful looking truck, it is, by the way.
You show a sidemount tire mount. Is that original, and would you be able to post a close up photo of the mount, or give me the dimensions so I can fabricate one for my '51.
After stalling, I am going to try Metal Man's sidemount fender mod. Your spare tire mount is what I'm missing. I had an original that I picked up from IronChief, but I didn't want to butcher an original part to make it fit. Any help you can give will be appreciated.
Your truck has a nice stance. Have you made any suspension mods.

I will see which it might have been and post it if I find it. Yes, I liked the stance of my truck, but it was because the front springs were badly collapsed. Last week I replaced them with a set of mono leafs. I didn't want to put stock back on and raise the truck way up. It is a bit lower now than in that pic but I do like it and may leave it alone. The front fender now only has about one inch above the tire. I think in the tech section on this website there is a story on how to modify the fender. I thought about mounting it on my current '50 but felt kinda awkward in modifying it too much from it's original condition. Besides found a wonderful underthe bed carrier that was intended for this year anyway. I might consider selling it once I determine it's value but for now I can send you a few jpegs of it with measurements this weekend if Tony doesn't get around it. Here's my current rig...
