Does anyone have a picture of their headliner as it appears in the front of inside of cab? It seems there are three large hole above my windshield-what are they for? does it help hold the headliner in front? I need to see some pictures Please help- also I have ordered all new hinges for my doors-rebuilt ones-cannot get the doors to line up-any suggestions? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | RHuddle56,
In the 1954/55-1st cab the front part of the front piece of headliner is held in place by the windshield rubber seal. Most of the sides of the front piece of headliner are held in place by the door windlace.
I think the three holes above the windshield are not used in any way to hold the headliner in place. There is a large hole on the left and right (above the windshield) with three screw holes for the inside sunvisors. Also, there might be two screwholes right above the middle of the windshield if a rear view mirror was ever installed (it was optional and not drilled at the factory).
Hinges can be quite tricky. Have you searched the entire forum on "hinges"? There have been several good discussions of this topic.
Good luck, Tim | | |
