Will a 1954 fuel tank and sender work in a 1950?
The original tank has a great deal of rust and is going to be replaced. I don't like the fuel line coming out the bottom of the tank in the 1950. The fuel line attaching to the sender seems like a better setup to me. Will the standard fuel pump be able to lift the fuel from the tank?

It will fit and it is a better setup. Thats why GM made the change. Trash settles at the bottom and used to get caught in the petcock. With top draw, the trash stays at the bottom. Just modify your fuel line to fit. There is a guy on eBay that sells fuel tanks on eBay for $174. They are made in Canada by Spectra Premium. They are much better than the Asian reproductions. I have bought well over a dozen tanks from the guy

A couple of friends bought Spectra tanks thru their FLAPS Ken.
Why would they be running low?? Or are you referring to the
price that the guy was selling them for?.
If I remember, that was about the price range that they
paid for the ones they bought.

Will the 1950 fuel pump work or is the 1954 type needed?
