For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 219 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 219 | Does anyone know if there is a company that remakes the original custom vinyl and cloth seat covers for task force truck? The covers I am looking for have square patters (One large square followed by two smaller ones). This is not the cameo version with solid colors however the vinyl and cloth cut is similar.

I,too have a 59 Apache, and wanted the custom seat cover fabric. I went to an auto upholstery shop, and they sourced enough material plus the vinyl trim to do my seat. Depending on your cab color, charcoal and beige, green, and blue fabrics were used as original materials. Also enough of the seat cloth material is needed if you wish to do the door panels. This is all assuming you wish a total custom interior. Please keep in mind that I sourced my material years ago and they may not be readily avail- able any more. Some companies say they have the original fabrics, but I have no personal knowledge.
Respectfully, Charles

I have been having a very difficult time finding the material. Most companies I reach out to never respond the rest just can't find it. I am working with someone at the moment who is looking. I am far from the point where I am ready for it so I still have time to search.

I hope you have luck in your search. I was able to find the correct "Detroit Cloth" numbers at a auto upholstery shop. With those correct numbers you may be able to source the seat cloth material from an ware house which specializes in old seat material. This is no promise, but might be a possibility. Either way I would like to hear how you made out.
