hi.

I searched but can't find any definitive pics of what a two tone paint might look like for a 1955-1957 3100.

like as if the roof was white, but the body is red, where is the break line between the two? is it at the drip rail? of further down? and was that even an option for 2nd series 3100s?

I know I can do whatever I like (which I have read in several posts) but I want to try and keep it looking original (if possible).

thanks

Gene

There's 2 different 2 tone schemes for '55, depending on which trim option you have.
Standard cabs have the second color, generally white, on the roof only. The break line is at the drip rail.
Standard trim 2 tone.
The Custom Cab trim, which includes stainless trim around the door glass and back of the cab, has the second color inside the area enclosed by the trim. That trim was standard on Cameo Carrier, optional on all others. Note, the Custom Cab option could be had on both small and large window cabs, and was a separate option from the window option.
Custom Cab 2 tone.
