Does anyone have any information on where I could find the bull nose piece for a 54 Chevy Truck. I already have two bull noses that are in terrible shape-the Chromer doing my grill states they can be fixed and look right. Does anyone have info about where I could get one. I have call most all the venders(Old Truck Parts)and have been unsuccessful-Or does any one have one just laying around they would be willing to sell? If you do email me. Thanks Tony

Jim Carter, Heavy Chevy, Chevy Duty(part#61-135) & Brothers. That is about the only piece of that grill that they make aftermarket. chrome-100.00 and steel 75.00.
Good luck

RHuddle56,

American Classic Truck Parts list the nose but it is out-of-stock (very honest of them - no surprise).

Be sure to ask the other vendors if the item is in stock. I ordered these (chrome and plain metal) a few years ago from two of the above vendors (not American Classic Truck Parts) and after waiting and giving excuses for a few months they both finally said that they did not know when they would get these items back in stock. I checked with a large number of vendors until I found one with it in stock.

Good luck,
Tim

I have just called around to eight different vendors with the same response: the manufacturer is having difficulty stamping out the part after they finished the initial run a couple years back. What does this mean to us...they do not know when they can expect to get more stocks on hand. Heavy Chevy did tell me that they would contact the manufacturer to find out if they had any "get-well" date on the horizon. I will repost when they call me back.

Sorry for the bad news.

I have had this item on back order at Chevy Duty for several months. I was told recently that they will have them in stock by the end of February. The original supplier evidently passed on and no one has filled the void until now. If it does not come to be I plan to straighten mine as much as possible and use it until a replace is in stock.
