old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 36 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 36 | Is there a web site that I can go to that will show exterior paint colors as well as interior paint colors for a 1954 Chevy Truck. I have been to the local paint store and the paint colors he has show me have acually faded in the paint book. Any ideas? Thanks RHuddle56 | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | RHuddle56, I have original 1954 chevrolet truck paint chips (exterior) and color-codes for a few paint companies. Of course, they are all about 50 years old :p . Who knows how faded they are? If I posted the pages of chips, they would not give you a good idea of the true color, especially the darker colors, it seems (due to fading and computer-display color-distortion). There were 12 exterior colors and 2 interior colors in 1954 (I do not have chips for the interior colors, but I have codes). Different series trucks had slightly different trim colors. Do you want me to try to scan and post the colors? Tim Here is the "spin wheel" of all the exterior colors from the original sales brochure. Southaven,Horn Lake, or close by? I'm in Memphis. I have Dupont chips from 52 you're welcome to look at. Colormatch on Summer Ave. has codes and chips also. They mixed me some cream medium for a sample - if you want to see it and you're close to Memphis, give me a shout; I'm in the book.

Are you looking for 1954 paint codes? There are PPG codes available for most 1954 colors.
