guys,
I just got this one going and running well but on take off is shutters pretty rough when I use a normal amount of accelerator. if I use no accelerator and easy it off slow its fine. Normal driving it does it a lot in 1st and some in 2nd almost none in 3rd.

I would like to have an idea before pulling it all off.
also easiest way is to pull axle back right?

I would suspect some oil has made its way onto the clutch disk. From time to time I get this and I find slipping the clutch for a second while going down the road cleans it up. I have also tried leaving the clutch depressed overnight using a piece of wood and it seems to help.

1948-1951 Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual, Definition of Rattling or Grabbing might mean Shutter.

I had a 1982 Honda Accord with a bad clutch.
After installing a new clutch it started to shutter.
It turned out the passenger side control arm Ball Joint was bad, causing the wheel to shutter.
It certainly felt like the shutter was coming from the clutch.
It had front wheel drive.

Had the same complaint on the Truck and a 48 Sedan. What was common to both? One driver side motor mount. Truck had a bolt missing to the cross member. Car had a mount missing the rubber and both failed to control the "torque shift" when just engaging the clutch. The bolt was easy. The mount was a PITA. 2 bolts to the bell housing and not much room to get at them. And so much crud from the pedal pivot shaft and the dirt from the road. But still less work than pulling the transmission. Now both are smooth and stable. Easy to check, put a jack and a wood block at the rear of the oil pan. Lift and observe. If the motor lifts off the cross member, the mount needs attention. If it stays put, look for oil on the fly wheel. Take care to NOT bend the pan.
