please tell me if i should bother or get another cab,i'm no pro at this and was wondering if you can give me some feed back,good or bad,I'm more mechanical than body,I can weld and form,just can't putty ,sand to save my life believe me I'v tried on my practice car a 86 coorola,pics are at www.webshots.ca use my e-mail to access([email protected]) or this,yes I bought it cheap and it runs great,pleeeaas help!! thanks

I am uaually the type that would not give up on anything but in this case, maybe another cab would be the way to go. They are lots of fun to work on, that is for sure.

Hey... you are posting the wrong link.
Go to the my photos tab and then look for where it says something like "link to my photos". It should look something like the one on the bottom of my post.

Andre, your truck looks very similar to mine when i first got it, yet it seems like you have more rust than mine. In my opinion i would look at what it would cost to buy replacement parts and labour if you need it then look at a cab that and calculate the costs of how much it costs plus replacement parts for that. Go for the cheeper one. Have fun with your truck.

Looks like my cab is as bad as yours. If I was you, I would try to find a better cab. It will probably cost you more money it get another cab, but you will not be spending a ton of time trying to bring the old one back to life. When I started my project, I could not afford a new cab so I worked on this one a bit at a time. Now I can afford a new cab, but have way to much time and money into this one to change it.

wow, even those pictures make mine look bad. i am going to fix mine (or at least try). this is my first project, and if nothing else it will be a nice learning experience.

well thanks guys,I think I'll do just that,I will put this project asside and focus on the 58 I just bought and at least i only have to deal with rust on one side,1 cab corner and complete step is gone( like no longer there)once that is done i will work on this one or give it to my son when he turns of age.replacement parts are too expensive right now but will maybee buy another cab someday for it to be resurected
