Picked up My 1946 Suburban today. Have some questions, any help is appreciated
1) headliner bows, are there any? Was this fabric or cardboard? , I see a tack strip attached to the roof bows, what where why?
2) I have all the wood window frames , all in good shape , what covers the "walls" of the truck from bottom of windows to roof line?
3) glass channel for the rear side windows, who carries new channel?
4) who besides Jim Carter carries parts for the old Burbs?
Thanks for the help

#4 the filling station, bow tie bits, steel rubber is the best for rubber parts. #3 do not know anyone who carries the side window channel. the doors should be the same as the trucks. i put power windows in my 36 suburban for about $300.my 36 had metal pieces between the windows and from the windows down to the floor

#1. The vinyl headliner attaches to the tack strips.
#2. The vinyl headliner comes down to the top of the widows and down to the lower panels between rear doors and rear most windows. There should be the same material on the posts between the windows from the lower panel to top of window.
#3. Still looking for window channel myself, but it seems like it is similar to other channels. Also,There are rubber seal strips nailed to the wood framing that supports the window mechanism.
#4. Already covered.

Much luck and have fun!
