Hidiy all; I haven't got a response from LMC yet, so can anyone tell me which direction the door weather stripping "teet" goes? Does the curved protruding part (I'm calling it a teet) point away from the cab/to the outside, or does it point into the cab?

I called, then emailed the question to LMC because there are two different color tabs on the door strip pieces; I thought it might be color coded for which side went where... The two door weather stripping pieces are identical aside from tab color.

Thanks
Brad

The "teet" points towards the cab. Be prepared to do some adjustments on the doors. While the manual does say to make the door adjustments with the weatherstrip out, my experience with all brands of aftermarket weatherstripping is that the doors will not properly close once it is installed. The rubber is simply too dense, and does not compress enough to allow for the proper closing of the door.

Gotcha. Thanks, Bill- Just like the rest of everything I put back on the truck, there's bound to be some adjusting.

What's the consensus on using adhesive/ RTV/ sealer under the weatherstrip? I just read a few threads on some "yellow death" not to use, but there will be no turning back once these little plastic flanged tabs get inserted into the door. They are a one shot deal & that's why I'm asking now.

One tab is already inserted (luckily the correct way)...then I figured I'd better ask which way they went... blush

Just a follow-up, but LMC did call me back & leave a message (on my phone at work) prior to this post yesterday.

The tab color had no significance.
